Carmichael receives intel that a British journalist, Nicola Gough, and an internal source, codenamed 'Tacitus', are arranging to meet, and he informs Hanna and Jules that they are to embark on their first mission - to 'intercept' the journalist before she can meet with Tacitus. Marissa finds herself in Camp G, Morocco, where she is kept under close watch, whilst in London, Hanna and Jules, pose as university students at the London university where Nicola's partner, Bethany, works.
